Drive-Thru Wedding Chapels in Las Vegas

Drive-Thru Wedding Chapels in Las Vegas

A Las Vegas drive-thru wedding is exactly what it sounds like — you pull up, an officiant comes to your window, and you are married inside ten minutes. Here is how it works and where to find one.

How a drive-thru wedding actually works

Drive-thru ceremonies are quick, outdoor and performed at your car window by a licensed officiant. You hand over your marriage license (obtained beforehand at the Clark County bureau — about $102, no waiting period), exchange vows, sign the paperwork and drive away married. The whole ceremony typically takes five to fifteen minutes.

They are legal — the same county requirements apply as any chapel ceremony. The officiant must be licensed, the license must be valid, and both of you sign on the spot.

Which chapel pioneered the drive-thru wedding

A Little White Wedding Chapel on the Strip is the most famous drive-thru wedding location in the world — the "Tunnel of Vows" drive-thru lane opened decades ago and has become an iconic Las Vegas photo opportunity in its own right. It is open 24 hours and the drive-thru lane is one of the most low-pressure ways to marry in Las Vegas.

Other chapels occasionally offer drive-thru or window ceremonies as well; confirm availability when you book. Our chapel guide covers the full landscape.

What drive-thru wedding packages include

The most basic drive-thru ceremony is just the officiant and the legal filing — minimal cost above the license. Some packages add a flower bouquet delivered through your window, a themed backdrop behind the officiant, a certificate scroll and a polaroid or digital photo of the exchange. Upgraded packages add indoor ceremony time after the drive-thru moment if you want to extend the experience.

Is a drive-thru wedding right for you?

Drive-thru ceremonies are best for couples who want speed, a Vegas story and zero planning overhead. They are not ideal if you want portraits, more than a handful of guests or any kind of reception. For those couples, even a brief indoor chapel ceremony gives you more flexibility.

A elopement photographer shooting from outside the car — capturing the officiant, the ring exchange through the window and the couple in the car — can turn a novelty moment into genuinely memorable images. It takes coordination but it works.

Practical checklist

  • Get your Clark County marriage license before arriving — you cannot do a legal ceremony without it.
  • Call ahead to confirm the drive-thru lane is operating on your date and time; hours can vary.
  • Bring only the people who fit in your car (or a small caravan if more guests are coming).
  • If you want photos beyond a chapel snapshot, book a photographer to meet you at the chapel entrance and shoot from outside the vehicle.
  • Allow for a quick indoor stop after to receive your signed license copy and any keepsakes.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Yes. As long as you have a valid Clark County marriage license and a licensed officiant performs the ceremony, a drive-thru wedding is a legal marriage in Nevada.

Entry-level drive-thru ceremonies can run $50–$150 above the marriage license ($102). Packages with flowers, a keepsake and photos typically cost $200–$400 total.

Appointments are strongly recommended, especially on weekends. Walk-ins are sometimes possible but availability is not guaranteed.

A small number of guests can typically stand nearby or watch from adjacent cars. For larger groups, an indoor chapel ceremony works better.
